Angels and Rainbows!

May 20, 2020

Wow, a lot has happened since I last blogged!  March was the month of the Coronavirus lockdown, cancelled events, the start of homeschooling for the foreseeable and the quietest Easter on record.  A March blog post just didn't happen for me as our normal routines were thrown out of the bag and a new day to day existence emerged.  And now reflecting on April, well that month went by in a flash too, I made some plans to be more productive and I have been in so many ways.  Here are a few things that I have been up to since I last blogged.

I took an online course, Tracy Verdugo's 'Abstract Mojo' course.  I have been following Tracy on Instagram for a while now and love her artwork and creative life.  She teaches art retreats all over the world, makes beautiful artworks and shares her processes and thoughts around creativity very generously.  Being part of a community again by sharing work in a private facebook page and discussing ideas has been a great distraction at this time.  Here are a few pieces I made during this course.  You can find Tracy's work and more information about her courses here.

One of the art works that I created during this time can be seen below.    An angel emerged from the acrylic painting and it became a significant focus for my idea to create something to raise some money for the NHS and their amazing staff working as hard as ever to care for those affected by the Coronavirus.  The angel piece, teamed up with a series of watercolour rainbows that I have been painting for a few months seemed the perfect match to create a greetings card pack to sell.

There are 3 packs of 6 cards to choose from.  The cards measure 140mm by 140mm and have been printed onto beautiful 300gsm premium white matt card. They have been left blank inside so that you can add your own personal message and are suitable for standard UK first or second class post.  The packs are presented wrapped in brown kraft paper and tied with twine.  50% of all profits will be donated to NHS Charities Together, who are working so hard to provide essential support for our amazing NHS staff and volunteers.  Click here to shop.

I think that is enough talk for this post, I'll update you with more information soon.

Keep safe and bye for now!
